Chandra + Mike

As a film maker it’s important for me to fall in love with each couple in order to tell the story of their wedding day as beautifully and creatively as I can. This took about two seconds with Chandra and Mike. They are both such amazing, fun, and loving people. Not to mention their family and friends! They’re also high school sweethearts, and with the help of the Maid of Honor and some saved love notes; we are able to travel back to the very beginning of their relationship. In one moment we hear some of their first conversations and in the next, we see an emotional Mike at the end of the isle waiting for his bride. To me, that is one of the coolest things that can be done with film. There are a million more things that I love about this couple and their day, and I’ll just point out one more. There is a moment where Chandra catches Mike yawning during picture time. Her reaction, his realization, then a smile - priceless. Everything was perfect from the Basilica, Loring Park, Oceanaire, to the Women's Club, and I am so honored that I was able to capture it. Congrats Chandra and Mike! Suzy + Aaron

There are so many things that I love about Suzy and Aaron’s wedding, but something that really stands out is their desire to honor the past and those who came before them. From family, to friends, they recognize that they are who they are today because of them, and embrace their memories as they start their new life together. Both being professional broadcasters, Suzy did an amazing job putting together a video for the reception that we used throughout their film to help tell this story. This was my first time in Omaha and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the rehearsal dinner in the old market at the Upstream Brewing Company, to the ceremony and reception at the Joslyn Museum, everything couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect. Suzy was just stunning, and Aaron’s love for her was not hard to miss. Another favorite moment, and you have to catch it quick, is when Suzy thanks Aaron for treating her like a queen. Without missing a beat you can see him say “you deserve it”. This reflexive response epitomizes their love for each other. It was such an honor to capture this celebration of love. Erik + Meghan

There are so many things I love about this couple and their wedding day, but what stands out most is how radiant Meghan was. She was just glowing all day and her smile was contagious - of course Erik had a lot to do with this. Her dad said it best at the reception referring to Erik’s effect on Meghan, “When you’re happy your face smiles. When you’re truly happy your eyes smile. And any guy that can make my daughters eyes smile the way you do is plenty good enough for me.” They are so in love and it permeated every moment of the wedding day. From the ceremony at Our Lady of Grace to the reception at Interlachen Country Club, everything couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect. Parag + Bethany

Parag and Bethany couldn't have been more amazing. They are awesome individuals and together make the perfect couple. Yes, their wedding(s) at the Calhoun Beach Club were spectacular, but the weekend seemed like so much more. It was a celebration of love, friendship, family, and two very special lives coming together. Lot's of tears and laughter. Jessica + Lucho

My passion is story telling and being as true to an experience as possible. In this case that includes lots of laughs, some tears, and some adult language. Just a heads up. What to say about Jessica and Lucho? Beyond their epic destination wedding they are two of the nicest people I have ever met. Spend two minutes with them you’ll feel like a close friend - within that same amount of time you’ll also see how they are the perfect match. As was mentioned throughout the weekend they both fully embody the “joie de vivre” - and from amazing food, continuous laughter, and passionate dancing; it was on display. In addition to being in a stunning backdrop like Portugal every detail was thought of and couldn’t have been more beautifully appointed. Katy + Aaron

Katy and Aaron had the most beautiful, and unseasonably warm mid-November wedding in Minnesota. There was not a snowflake in sight and many of the leafs were still on the trees. Of course what really made this day special was the love that Katy and Aaron share and the love and excitement of their family and friends who there to celebrate and cheer them on as they being this new chapter in their lives. Both former Tommies, the ceremony was of course at the University of St. Thomas and the reception was held at The Graves 601 hotel in Minneapolis. Everything was stunning, every detail was perfect, and most importantly everyone had a blast. There are so many things I love about this couple and their wedding day but I’ll end with some simple words of advice from the best man for a perfect marriage “Love, commitment, patience, football, pizza, and pancakes.” Congrats Katy and Aaron! Kris + Jay

Be prepared to laugh, cry, and smile as you take in the epic wedding of Kris and Jay. Although currently living on the west coast they were married at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis. Choosing a prohibition era theme every detail was perfect, from the attire, Kris couldn’t have looked more radiant and stunning, right down to the skeleton keys for name cards. Jay and Kris are so perfect for each other and it is so clear why they, as they said in their vows, are “true counterparts and accomplices”. They value family, friends, and celebration - aka partying like I’ve never seen! In addition to being many things Jay is a professional DJ and Kris a professional dancer, so yeah, the reception was pretty awesome. Between Jay’s poem “I remember” and the chorus to one of their favorite songs “you are a cinema, I could watch you forever” I am so honored to have been a part of their day and to have captured something that can be watched forever and relived even when, as Jay put it, “we don’t remember a damn thing.” Congrats Kris and Jay! Beau + Genevieve

There is so much I want to say about this amazing couple and their epic fall wedding at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa Minnesota. A description that was used a lot throughout the day in talking about Beau and Genevieve’s relationship was “perfect match” - and that couldn’t have been more true. From the way they look at each other, laugh together, tear up the dance floor, and simply have a blast with one another they really are the perfect match. They couldn’t have picked a better day for a fall wedding.The weather was perfect, the colors were vibrant, and Genevieve was stunning. It was such an amazing day. Let’s just say Genevieve is a planner, and every detail was beautiful appointed and thought of, right down to the letter she wrote Beau ONE YEAR to the day before the wedding! Laura + Ned

Laura and Ned had the most amazing wedding weekend. Over two days it was the best combination of intimate and celebratory. The ceremony and their first reception was held in Ned’s family’s backyard. There is something so romantic and cool about a white tent and chairs against green grass. Laura and Ned are two incredibly creative people - just one of the things that make them a perfect match - and that was on display in every detail. From simple yet perfect details like mason jars wrapped in twine, vibrant colored flowers and fabric, yard games, the table numbers, and on and on. Everything, especially Laura, was absolutely beautiful. The second reception was held at Architectural Antiques in NE Minneapolis. It was such a great place to celebrate and it couldn't have fit Laura and Ned more perfectly. There are so many things I love about this couple and their film but the video says it best. Nolan + Paige

I had the opportunity to get to know Paige and Nolan months before their big day as they decided to create a longer form "love story" video that was shown at their rehearsal dinner. After spending hours with them shooting, and many more hours editing, I really felt like understood who they are and why they love each other - which is so evident in this film. From inside jokes and sayings, to their mutual love for Macey, to just simply being best friends, it couldn't be more clear that Paige and Nolan are a perfect match. They had a spectacular wedding and reception at The Graves hotel. We spent most of our time there but did venture out to the stone arch bridge where one of the most epic "saves" took place by one of the groomsman as Paige's veil flew off in the wind headed for the river.
